This is the pattern for the Cordiform Tiles Skirt, a stranded colorwork skirt that can be personalized to your gauge, size, and yarn preferences. Testers rated this pattern as medium/intermediate difficulty because the techniques aren't too advanced, but the all-over colorwork could be intimidating for beginners.
Background Information:
- Yarn and Notions: You'll need a bit more than a sweater quantity of your favorite yarn, circular knitting needles, and (optional) elastic thread (3-5x your waist plus some extra, depending on the thread thickness).
- You can use whatever yarn in whatever thickness you like, because you'll knit the skirt to match your gauge and size. This means that the amount of yarn needed will vary from knitter to knitter depending on yarn weight, waist measurement, and desired skirt length. To start, I would estimate how much yarn you use in a typical sweater, and add at least one additional skein each for your main and contrast colors (or more if you'd like a longer skirt).
- I would also recommend stitch markers.

- Sizing: This pattern is size-inclusive because it is entirely made to measure. The pattern guides you through how to calculate your cast-on based on your unique gauge and waist measurement.
- Techniques: Knitting in the round, stranded colorwork, double knitting, increases, Latvian braid (optional)
- Format: Written step-by-step instructions and two colorwork charts
- There are also links to two YouTube tutorials I've made for specific steps
